27th Nafplio Music Festival, June 29 - July 8, 2018

The Nafplio Music Festival completes 27 years of contribution this year to the cultural life in Greece.

For the opening, a separate concert in Syntagma Square will take place, with the Navy band in an evening with Greek music and singing, with the distinctive style of one of the country's longest-running musical ensembles.
Then, the "Jazz in the Castle" quartet returns to Palamidi castle, with the famous Thomas Frank and Dimitris Kalatzis, in a jazz program with music by Mikis Theodorakis.
In the morning of the first Sunday, pianist Uwe Matschke appears with Danae Papamattheou and Kerstin Feltz at the Parliament Building, and the next day at Saint Spyridon Square comes the Martinu Quartet from the Czech Republic, for an enchanting evening.
Then, Luxembourg is represented by two concerts, by Trio Koch and the great pianist Jeanne Mouler, while on Thursday 5th of July Maria Kokka with Joseph Vanet and Antonis Liakakis play Debysse, in a tribute to the composer's 100th anniversary -narrated by Dimitris Daska.

On Friday, July 6th, the Festival presents the musical show “Mare Nostrum” in Agios Georgios church, by the artistic group "Train to Rouf", and on the last weekend we move up to Palamidi castle, for a performance of Igor Stravinsky’s play "The Soldier’s Tale" directed by Christoforos Christofi.
