Mina Papatheodorou Valyraki is a worthy ambassador of the culture of Greece, awarded with the EOT / Xenios Dias 2003-2004. She has managed to make all Greeks proud, and especially the family of the Basil Papantoniou Foundation (BPF) & Museum, which for the last two years has had the pleasure and honor of hosting a permanent exhibition of her works.
In her texts for the issue of the Olympic Stamps-Athens 2004, the painter states: "My interest in man in action is very old. It is almost 18 years old. My study of the human figure is also older.
The athlete's effort was paralleled in my subconscious, with that of the artist. I believe that the struggle is common and the lives are parallel. Both are searching and striving for a goal, to surpass themselves and break boundaries.
My love and admiration for the athlete and his effort, this eminently interesting stimulus, which gives the artist the opportunity to study it, has led me over the years to never give it up as a subject." (Source: enikos.gr).
