From Saturday November 30th 2024, Fougaro Art Center welcomes the exhibition of paintings by Mrs. Rodi Konstantoglou. Her works, in acrylic on paper or on canvas, are imbued with a peculiar rhythm, due to the way she manages the contrasts between pure colors. Bold motifs highlight faces, animals and landscapes, seeking balance in the composition, with the artist's personal idiom making her style recognizable.
Mrs. Rodi Konstantoglou built a very solid background in design and the use of color, studying fashion design at Parsons School of Design in New York and textile design at St Martin's School of Art in London. She was artistically formed during the peak years of Pop Art, a movement that brought radical breakthroughs in both the fine and applied arts. After a successful international career in design, Rodi Konstantoglou took over her parents' business, the well-known Athens shop "Mati", which focused on traditional Greek crafts and folk art. Elements from her diverse references converse in her works in a unique way, radiating energy and color.

Artist Rodi Konstantoglou
Born in Athens, she studied fashion and costume design at Parsons School of Design in New York and textile design at St Martin's School of Art in London. She worked as a designer and illustrator for fashion magazines and companies and collaborated with architecture and advertising agencies on projects in Greece and abroad. Since the mid-90s, she has been running her family's shop "Mati" in the center of Athens. Recently, she has devoted herself to painting and had her first solo exhibition at the Genesis Gallery in 2023, entitled "Never too Late". She has participated in many group exhibitions, while this exhibition at Fougaro Art Center is her second solo exhibition.

For visitors from Athens, there will be a bus transfer to the opening ceremony: Departing at 11 am from the Benaki Museum (1 Koumbari Street, Athens) and departing at 4 pm from the Fougaro Art Center to return to Athens (only by reservation at T. +30 6943 056 387).
At the Fougaro Café-Bistrot you can enjoy light dishes of Mediterranean cuisine, coffee, sweets and drinks.
There is a large parking lot available, also with a supply for charging your electric car!
