Nena Venetsanou, 1000 + 1 Cities - 10 & 11 July 2015
Nena Venetsanou –“a full voice, intelligently balancing between the classic and popular” – as Manos Hadjidakis used to say, is a distinguished singer of spirituality and lyrical quality. The concert 1000+1 Cities is a musical journey to imaginary landscapes. Songs by Hadjidakis, Mikis Theodorakis as well as Venetsanou herself, based on works by Greek poets, provide the stops in this journey. And excerpts from works of important writers, visually supported by Angelos Angeli’s stage imagery, stand as signposts.
