On Saturday, November 12th 2022 in the evening, another highly enjoyable and unique musical night in the city, with... a special color. We enjoy the "Merem" Quintet live, at the Fougaro Art Center.
"Merem" is a group of young Greek musicians, living in Rotterdam, Holland. They compose their own music and their style of sound is created by the combination of Greek tradition with jazz. Their performances are characterized by lyrical melodies, which mix female vocals with the special sound of the out, as well as explosive improvisations, which take us on a journey through the various paths of jazz.
They recently released their new single "Jasmine", which features their own music and lyrics. Merem, playing for less than a year together, have given concerts in Greece, but also in big cities of central Europe (Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels etc). World music, traditional Greek & Jazz at their best!

Merem ensemble was created in Rotterdam in 2021 by the Greek musicians above, all of whom studied -among others- at the famous Codarts University of the Arts, where they musically connected.
At the moment they are preparing a series of concerts in the Netherlands and Greece while working on their next single which will be released by the end of 2022.
