Did you know that?
The Museum of Childhood "Stathmos" is a space for exhibiting the BPF's collections related to children and a space for carrying out educational programs. The BPF's collections include toys and objects related to children and both sexes (e.g. clothing, objects related to children's nutrition and hygiene, school supplies), the customary context of the stages of children's lives (e.g. birth, baptism), as well as the participation of the child in the wider life of the mainly rural communities, but also objects from forms of folk theatre that are now identified with the child, whereas in the past they were part of the entertainment of adults (puppet theatre, karagiozis).
The educational program of the first Sunday (9 February 2025) was entitled "A Journey to the World of Emotions" and was organized in cooperation with the children's book publisher "Mikri Selini".
