Fotonio - Erotokritos, "Chainides" & "Ki omOs kinite", August 11th 2018

As part of the festival, organized by the "Fotonio Events and More" in Nafplio under the title "Evenings in our back yard", "Erotokritos" play is presented, on Saturday, August 11th 2018 by "Chainides" band and the dancing group "Ki omOs kinite" (Still moving).
A "reading" of the Erotokritos different from the usual, is suggested by Chainides and the group Ki omOs kinite (dancing / acrobatics), in the Erotokritos musical performance of Vitsentzos Kornaros. A production of the Athens Festival (Herod Atticus Conservatory, June 30th 2014)

A songwriting, which so thoroughly penetrated our musical tradition, made a great deal of the language spoken in this place, touched generations of people, lent them images and symbols of love, heroism, friendship, bravery, dignity, pain, right, wrong, and ultimately adopted as a symbol of their culture.
For us, it is not only the Erotokritos's past that is touching. His revolutionary faith in man, changing his fate, the profound dialectic of the people's sayings in the play, his musical form and the form of his language are touching in the present.
The dialectic of singing by the many different instruments and voices is complemented and diffused into the theatrical aspect of the work, from the puncture or anti-puncture presence of the group "Ki omOs kinite".
