Fougaro - Pyx Lax Live, August 25th 2019

Fougaro Art Center in Nafplio, welcomes the famous "Pyx Lax" on Sunday, August 25th 2019, with a dynamic live performance, that will make us travel through the lyrics and melodies from their long musical career. Our "Old Loves" Phillipe Pliatsikas and Babis Stokas are coming to Nafplio after two sold out concerts in New York and they will be waiting for us with their well known and successful songs!

Pyx Lax (Punching and Kicking) was a Greek rock band. Originally formed in 1989, they released their first recording in 1990 along with Manos Xidous, and had a critical and commercial success in the Greek music industry for fifteen years, before being dissolved in 2004. They are considered as the most successful -commercially, as well as in the number of fans- group in the history of Greek discography with three gold and five platinum albums (among which: Gia Tous Prinkipes Tis Dytikis Ochthis, Stilvi, Yparchoun Chrysopsara Edo?). Some of their greatest hits were: "De Tha Dakryso Pia Gia Sena", "Ti Ine Afto Pou Mas Enoni?", "I Palies Agapes Pane Ston Paradeiso", "Mia Synousia Mystiki", "Epapses Agapi na thymizeis", "Poula me", and "Monaxia mou ola''.

They are now the most historic and one of the most influential bands in our country, with remarkable success over their fifteen-year presence in the records business, with twelve gold and platinum albums and collaborations with big names on the international music scene. Their music was loved because of their unique and exquisite musical character, the electric sound, combined with melody and lyricism.

Most of their English-language songs were included in their last album Charoumeni Stin Poli ton Trelon (2003), in which they collaborated with Eric Burdon, Gordon Gano, Marc Almond and Steve Wynn.
