European Night of Museums -La Nuit des Musées- is a cultural event that takes place once a year, every May.
It began in France in 2005 with the aim of giving all citizens the opportunity to explore and visit cultural sites. Over the years, more and more countries and cities have participated. It has now become an important institution that everyone is waiting for.
Nafplio, a city rich in museums and art spaces, is actively participating in the Night of Museums this year. On Saturday, May 17th 2025, museums and art spaces welcome all guests with various events and promise an unforgettable spring night full of knowledge, exploration and surprises.

Fougaro trees, the trees of life
Fougaro Artcenter celebrates Museum Night with an open workshop for teenagers and adults with the artist Emilia Tsekoura, dedicated to the environment. The inspiration for this workshop comes from the trees of Fougaro and we will meet to paint them. We are waiting for you to experience the scents of Spring, by painting on site in nature, with easels in the open spaces of Fougaro.

Percussion Ensemble of the Municipal Philharmonic of Nafplio
The percussion ensemble of the Municipal Philharmonic of Nafplio floods the streets of Nafplio with a moving musical action. The musicians board the city train and, with Latin and Greek rhythms, pass through the central streets and squares of Nafplio Old Town, sending a message - a reminder of the particularly important night of Greek culture!
The percussion ensemble completes its course by stopping in the area next to the War Museum, opening a circle for those who wish to participate and collaborate with the pulse of the ensemble.

Karoni Distillery Museum
A guided tour of the historical archive of the Karoni Distillery, which includes old machinery, documents, photographs and objects from the history of the company.
The evening will conclude with a tasting of Karoni Distillery products.
