The Nafplio Naval Events under the name "Naftiki Nafpliada" is the great celebration of the Sea, organized by the Municipality of Nafplio, in cooperation with the "Palamidis" Progressive Club of Nafplio and the Association of the people of origin from Nafplio living everywhere named "Nafplios", honoring the sea and the people who serve it. It includes a varied six-day festive program, which includes guided tours, sea tours in the Argolic Gulf, exhibitions, screenings, speeches, book presentations and musical events.
The celebration of Nafplio Naval week is one of the top events of Nafplio and its quality is expected to once again impress locals and foreigners, who come to enjoy it. Exhibitions, book presentations, a night cruise in the Argolic Gulf, and the wonderful "barcarola" event, which concludes with the impressive fireworks, will enrich for more than a week the city's culture and colors and will remain unforgettable for locals and visitors.

Honor to the people of the sea! The Port Master of Nafplion throws a wreath, honoring the sea of the Argolic Gulf. The "barcarola" will sail accompanied by the illuminated boats of local fishermen. Fireworks will light up the sky of Nafplio.

The Nafplio Naval Events are organized by the Municipality of Nafplio, the Regional Unity of Argolis, the Basil Papantoniou Foundation (BPF) and the "Palamidis" Progressive Club of Nafplio. The Port Fund of Nafplio, the Port Administration of Nafplio and the Fishermen's Association of Nafplio also participate in the organization of the events.
During this festive week, the whole city joins in a big party and many visitors flock to the closing ceremony with the "barkarola", the sparklers and the concert, with big names of the Greek pentagram.
