Nafplio - 3rd Panhellenic Festival of Music Schools, March 27-30th 2025

The Music School of Argolis, in collaboration with the Directorate of Secondary Education of the Prefecture of Argolis, the Municipality of Argos-Mycenae, the Municipality of Nafplio and the Holy Metropolis of Argolis, is pleased to announce the 3rd Panhellenic Music School Festival "With Music and with a Dream", which will take place in Argos and Nafplio cities from March 27th to 30th 2025.

During the Festival, there will be concerts of the participating schools' ensembles with "free" programme, experiential workshops and seminars by renowned teachers and internationally renowned artists.
The aim of the Festival is to highlight the importance of musical education, to encourage the creativity of music schools, to promote culture and in general to contribute to the musical culture of the local community and the wider society. At the same time, to promote Argolis in connection with its historical and religious heritage.
A number of music schools will be visiting the city (about 20 music schools in total) and it is expected that the total number of visitors to our region will be over 1000 people. For the 2nd Music Festival, accommodation in the city of Nafplio was so full, that regional accommodation had to be sought in other cities, even in Corinth. 

Content
The Festival includes:
- Concerts by the participating Music Schools of Greece in indoor and outdoor venues
- Student and Byzantine choirs singing the "Greetings", in the liturgical setting of the churches
- Educational programs and lectures by eminent musicologists and renowned artists
- Experiential workshops (Friday, March 28th 2025)
- On Saturday, March 29th 2025, a major concert will be held, dedicated to the renowned composer Evanthia Reboutsika, who will honor the concert with her presence and participation.

10:00-12:00 - Nafplio, Syntagma Square: Presentations of the Musical Ensembles of the Music Schools
14:30-17:00 - Experiential learning workshops
19:00 - The Byzantine Choir of each School -by prior arrangement- will sing for the "Greetings" in selected churches of Argos and Nafplio.
18:30-20:30 - Nafplio: Presentations of the Musical Ensembles of the Music Schools

Saturday, March 29th 2025
11:00-13:00 - Argos, St. Peter's square: Presentations of the Musical Ensembles of the Music Schools
19:00-21:00 - Concert dedicated to Evanthia Reboutsika, with the participation of the composer.

Sunday, March 30th 2025
11:00-12:30 - Nafplio, Syntagma Square: Presentations of the Musical Ensembles of the Music Schools
18:00-20:00 - Nafplio, "Vouleftiko" Hall, Nafplio old town: Presentations of the Musical Ensembles of the Music Schools, at the First Greek Parliament

Did you know that?
The music schools of Greece (49 in number) are public secondary education schools specializing in music lessons. The first school of this kind established in Greece is the Music Gymnasium-Lyceum of Pallini, which began its operation in 1988. The Music School of Argolis is located in the village of Prosymna, in Argos.
Evanthia Reboutsika is a Greek musician and composer, with music studies in Athens and Paris and major collaborations, as well as with excellent recordings (the Athens-Thessaloniki series, Politiki Kouzina, Trito Stefani, Notias...).
