Vouleftiko - Chamber Music Concert, Sunday, April 23rd 2023

διπλό πιάνο, piano double

On Sunday, April 23rd 2023, the Hall of the First Hellenic Parliament in Nafplio (called "Vouleftiko") will be filled with sounds and melodies from piano, saxophone, cello, flute, and clarinet. We will attend a chamber music concert, with known pieces by exceptional and beloved composers.

In Nafplio, in the impressive building of the First Parliament, in the heart of the old city, for one hour we immerse ourselves in the magic of music, with chamber music melodies. The music-loving youth of the city shine and present their exceptional performances on their musical instrument of choice. They are all students of the Higher School at the Nafplio Conservatory A. Mavroulis and this is the chamber music concert they have prepared for us!
The familiar pieces that we will hear, are performed by the following pairs of instruments: piano-clarinet, piano-saxophone, piano-cello and piano-flute. The relatives of the students and the music-loving community of the city will be there to support these amazing kids!

Did you know that?
Chamber music is music, that is written for small groups of musicians, usually consisting of two to four musical instruments and is intended to be performed in small spaces. The dominant musical form in the compositions of chamber music ensembles is the sonata.
Because of its intimate nature, chamber music has been described as "the music of friends", as it is a form of classical music that is composed for a small group of instruments -traditionally a group that could fit in a palace chamber or a large room.
The musicians, who make up the lineup of the concert, are students of the Higher School at the Nafplio Conservatory of Angeliki Mavrouli.
