Nafplio 1821-2021 - Visual Identity of Anniversary

Based on the trademark of Nafplio, the majestic Palamidi castle, built on the hill east of the city (famous for its "999" steps), the visual identity of the city was designed and presented, to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution of 1821. The purpose is to highlight the significant role of the city of Nafplio in the Greek Revolution with a proper visual identity, which will accompany the events and related publications and will forever leave in history the imprint of the celebration of the 200 years from the Greek Revolution in Nafplio.

The famous  Palamidi castle defines the city and its history. Akronafplia fortress and Bourtzi delimit the surrounding sea of Nafplio and all together its curved relief. Pure and white as the sunlight appears the goal of the Greeks for liberation and independence... The bright Argolic sun, source of life, rises behind the castle, with its warm colors. Every day memories awaken here... Every sunrise is a new day, it is today. Every sunset is the past, leaving behind events, history and legends... This is Nafplio, wrapped in history, in the clear blue sky, the sea and steep cliffs...
