Trianon Nafplio - "Rumpelstiltskin", October 11th 2019
The Small Theater of Larissa, with a consistent presence in the field of quality theater for children, presents a children's performance in Nafplio, at the Trianon Theater on Friday, October 11th 2019, which will "speak" in the hearts of our little ones and in the memories of the older.
This is the "Rumpelstiltskin", translated by Xenia Kalogeropoulou. A fairy-tale of the Grimm brothers originated around 4.000 years ago, that even today it can teach the modern man how much greed can cost in his life. When one demands to acquire what he cannot have or what he has lost due to waste, then comes the time when the recompense will cost even greater than anything he could ever imagine...
The story
The king, through his wasteful life, spends all the gold of his kingdom. His subjects blame him for their own misery, and the royal mother advises him to find a good wife and shape together all the bad things. When he learns that a miller's daughter can weave gold from straw, the king orders that she is brought to the palace immediately. The miller's daughter has to do what her father brags about and with the help of an elf, of Rumpelstiltskin, she manages to achieve it. But the price for the elf's help will be much higher than she had calculated. The sequel on stage!
