Xenon Inn

You cannot find a most central place, than the main Square of the first capital of Greece (and one of the most important ones worldwide), Nafplio's Syntagma Square. Here, on the first floor of a renovated neoclassical building, is housed the admirable hotel Xenon Inn, with six rooms and apartments. With two balconies on both sides and a large terrace on the edge, intense red brick color on the walls and the tiles on the roof, along with the details of white and bright blue doors and windows will "travel" you centuries back, when orators declaimed and Greek fighters were discussing issues of the Revolution. The moment I walk through the door, I immediately nab the hotel’s stigma: the entrance door is a replica of 1800! Continuing my walk up the wooden stairs, I find myself in the lobby across the reception, staring at the paintings on the wall and an old chest in the corner.

The suite of nobility
I start my tour from the suite, a comfortable 35 m2 room with high ceilings, getting brighter as the sun's rays sneak through the curtains, diffusing their light on the classic style, the dark wood furniture, the exuding class and elegance. I observe the meticulously layered double bed, the large, comfortable sofa (that opens and the suite can accommodate up to 4 people) with the low table in front of it, a secretaire with a leather chair, the dressing table along with the large mirror. The wall is covered in stone that has been preserved from the old building; an emblematic element. I move the curtains aside and get out at the balcony. The view in Syntagma Square lies in front of my eyes and I strongly feel the energy and the dynamism of the place. Magical feeling!

Rooms for sophisticated tastes
All the other rooms are also showing the same subtle luxury style, with classic style furniture and painted ceilings. It’s very difficult to distinguish any of them. In some you will again find the element of renovated stone with beam pieces, most of them have square view and balconies or terraces where you can sit late at night, when the buzz has slowed down, watching the moon illuminate the old town. You will find lots of options whether you want to book double or triple rooms, for four persons or even two rooms, for a family with children or a large group!

More "filo-xenon" cannot get!
If you stay in one of the rooms of Xenon Inn, you feel privileged. This feeling overwhelms you. Not only because of its special decoration, the excellent service, the fact that in anything you need, at any time of day (or night) the stuff will be next to you. It’s because of the fact that you stand in the heart of events, whether it's called Easter, carnival event or musical event. And being inside an historic building, while you are facing at others taken from old history, such as the Archaeological Museum, Trianon Theater, even the particular building of the National Bank is priceless!

Did you know that?
Xenon Inn took its name from the chemical element Xeno (Xe) about which the craftsmen during the restoration were constantly discussing, the existence of which was confirmed later by archaeologists.
The suite and most of the rooms have a kitchenette with fridge and utensils, and some others have only a small refrigerator.
