Did you know that?
The Nafplio War Museum was inaugurated on November 27th 1988 and is housed in the first building of the "Evelpidon" School, founded by the first Governor Ioannis Kapodistrias (and first President of the Greek National Guard). It is part of the War Museum of Athens, of which it is the first branch. The visitor can follow the history of the Military School of Cadets (Evelpidon School) and the modern history of Greece, especially the participation of the inhabitants of Argolis in the struggles of the Greek Nation, from the Greek Revolution to the liberation from the German occupation during World War II.
