On the weekend of November 4th and 5th 2023 in Nafplio, one of the most important martial arts championships is taking place! The Palamidio Martial Arts Championship has evolved into one of the largest sports events in the region. It is a tournament of combat sports, in a well-organized two-day event of sportsmanship and noble competition, a true gem!
Registrations have already closed for the 15th Palamidio Championship. More than 50 Greek clubs are participating this year (from Mytilini, Patras, Crete, Pyrgos, Attica, Tripoli, Kos, Athens, etc.), while 560 martial athletes from all over the country, male and female are expected to participate, along with over two thousand spectators and fans of combat sports. This event energizes the city and its local market.
The Contentions
The following Contentions have been included in the Championship: Taolu (bare fist-weapons), Light Sanda, Kick Light, Point Fighting and Self Defense.

Did you know that?
This year, part of the proceeds of the tickets of the Palamidio Championship will be donated to the nursing homes of Argos and Nafplio, either in the form of money or in kind.
The amount of 800€ was gathered last year from the proceeds of the tickets of the Palamidio Championship and donated to "Blood Ties - blood donor association of Argolis". On the two days of the Championship, members of the club were present in the gym, to provide information on donating blood.
The championship is under the auspices of the Greek Federation of Yusou Kung-fu, the Pan-Hellenic Federation of Kick Boxing and the Nafplio Municipal Organization of Culture and Sports.
