32nd Nafplio Festival - July 8th to16th 2023

On Saturday, July 8th 2023, the curtains will rise for the 32nd Music Festival of Nafplio, featuring a combination of high-quality events with different starting points but a common destination, enriching our cultural life for 8 continuous days.

The Mayor of Nafplio Mr. Dimitris Kostouros and the artistic director and pianist Mr. Yiannis Vakarelis welcome us to the 32nd Music Festival of Nafplio, presenting a panorama of events in the most beautiful parts of the city: in the emblematic Palamidi castle, in Agios Georgios' Square in front of the church, in Syntagma Square, in the Vouleftiko, in Agios Spyridon, as well as in the National Gallery - Annex of Nafplio 
Production organization: Phorminx (Φόρμιγξ) Concert Company.

Chamber music. A tribute to classical traditions, through a journey in four countries. Each piece has been perfectly adapted, to bring out the unique warmth of the viola's voice, in combination with the harmonies of the piano, creating a special listening experience.

The Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra of Nafplio musically announces the 32nd Nafplio Classical Music Festival, under the direction of chief conductor Mr. Theodossios Antoniadis.

Sunday, July 9th 2023, "Epaminondas" Bastion,  Palamidi castle at 20:30 (At the entrance of the castle from the parking lot, it is the bastion of the main gate)
A twenty-minute musical event by the Nafplio Choral Workshop, under the direction of Mr. Yiannis Nikolopoulos.

Wednesday, July 12th 2023Vouleftiko at 20:30
The "Symfonia" Women's Vocal Ensemble of Nafplio (Symphony) presents works from the Greek and international repertoire. Teaching - Direction by Mr. Theodossios Antoniadis.

"Soli Deo Gloria" Choir, chanting at the courtyard of the National Gallery, Annex of Nafplio - Alexandros Soutsos Museum.
Permanent exhibition: National Gallery - "Revolution '21 reframed" - The Greek's Struggle for Independence
Seasonal exhibition: National Gallery - Myths and Symbols in Modern Greek Art (19th century, until the first half of the 20th century)

The Nafplio Festival has hosted some of the brightest groups and artists of the international classical scene and has been awarded the distinction of best festival by the Greek Music Critics Association.
The Festival will take place following the special instructions of the health authorities, with priority given to public health and with a sense of responsibility towards the public and the artists.
Co-organizer is the Region of Peloponnese.
