On Monday, July 17th 2023, at the Vouleftiko (Old Parliament of Nafplio) in collaboration with the Nafplio Conservatory, we will attend a cello recital by Mrs. Maria-Elli Petridou, as part of the innovative program "Listening to the Youth".
The "Listening to the Youth" is a comprehensive program supporting emerging soloists through concerts, recordings, festivals, and seminars. The program 'Listening to the Youth' is an innovative and comprehensive investment in the new generation of musicians, which we must embrace, support, and introduce to their future audience through the organization of multiple concerts and recordings, in order to become a launching pad for their professional careers. The implementation of the program and its objectives actively involve the Athens Concert Hall, the Third Program (Greek National Radio), the Kalogeropouleio Foundation, and the association "Diazoma".
Mrs. Petridou, who we will enjoy in works by J. S. Bach, S. Rachmaninov, A. Loggins-Hull, G. Faure and N. Rimsky-Korsakov, is accompanied by Mrs. Popi Malapani.

Unfortunately, the recital had to be postponed, since the musician and the contributors could not reach to Nafplio; the National Road was blocked, due to fires along the way. A new date is going to be announced within October 2023.
The cities of the Peloponnese participating in the "Listening to the Youth" program are: Corinth, Kalamata, Tripoli, Nafplio, and Argos.
Upon the completion of the program, a celebratory concert will take place at the Megaron Athens Concert Hall on February 24th 2024, featuring all the selected young musicians who have been chosen through a competition among 56 candidates up to the age of 25.
